There have been a number of books about the “Sex Pistols” but with “Satellite” the authors Paul Burgess and Alan Parker set out to produce something quite different. This book shows the other side, the visual side, it shows the memorabilia everyone has heard about but rarely seen. Alan Parker currently has a book out via Omnibus Book called “Sid’s Way”. This year is the 21st Anniversary of the demise of the Pistols. A new film will be released called “The Filth And The Fury” during the autumn. So there will be a lot of interest in the band.
Memorabilia: This section is full of colour and shows many rare posters, record sleeves, flyers, promotional items, badges stickers and CD’s, you name it it’s there.

Locations: We have in this section revisited the locations in and around London where the band lived, rehearsed, played or just created havoc. We also visit the sites where the design and fashion material were put together. With every location there is a full description of what happened and how to get there. It can be used as a street guide as well.

Photography: The Authors searched high and low and we can 90% guarantee that this section is full of exclusive photographs of the band from the early days up to 1996.

Fashion: There is no doubt that Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood were the major influence in changing the world of fashion in 1976. From their ‘shops’ at 430 Kings Road they designed many hard hitting outfits that were often worn by the band. We have had access to some of the biggest collectors of Pistols clothing and have shown for the first time in 21 years some of the never seen items, which have made Vivienne such a fashion icon.
